The Saturday Oakland Grand Lake Farmer's Market contains the typical rows of stalls with seasonal plump tomatoes, ripe avocados, delicious apples, succulent grapes and sweet honey. The lone oasis chocolate stand belongs to Barlovento Chocolates. The chocolate is made from the finest Venezuelan cocao. The luscious passion fruit chocolate blend was my guilty pleasure for the day. A sweet blend of passion. My favorite is still the chocolate caramel with salted top. Try the spicy Venezuelan Hot Chocolate for some extra heat. They also frequent the Marin Civic Center and Palo Alto California Ave Farmer's Markets.
